Broccoli with Ham and Beans

This Broccoli with Ham and Beans recipe is a perfect skillet dinner. It’s very easy to make under 30 minutes meal that is wonderfully delicious and comforting. This side dish is so filling but low-carb, full of nutrition and wholesome ingredients that get lots of fiber! And it’s also keto-friendly, gluten-free, and can be friendly for many weight loss diets

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 455 g. broccoli florets
  • 1 cup 150 g. chopped or sliced ham
  • 1 can/19 oz/540ml 380 g. drained kidney beans
  • 3 tbsp. 15 g. olive oil
  • 1 medium 150 g. onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves 10 g. garlic, minced
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet (I used my Instant Pot) heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Add the chopped ham and stir and cook for about 2 minutes.
  • Add the broccoli and garlic; season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally until the broccoli is just softened.
  • Add the beans, stir and cook additional 1 or 2 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and serve hot!
  • Enjoy!
