Healthy Caesar Salad
This simple Healthy Caesar Salad is made with crisp romaine lettuce, homemade crunchy croutons, and drizzled in a flavored with garlic, anchovy, and parmesan Healthy Caesar Dressing. So good, so easy Caesar Salad is ready in 10 minutes!
- For the Croutons:
- 1 ½ cup 50 g cubed French Baguette or any bread
- 1 Tbsp. 7 g olive oil
- ½ tsp. garlic powder
- ½ tsp. Italian seasoning
- ground black pepper to taste
- For the Caesar Salad:
- 1 large head romaine lettuce (240 g chopped)
- 1/4 cup 25 g parmesan cheese, shaved or shredded
- ½ cup 120 g Healthy Caesar Dressing
Make Stovetop Croutons:
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Add the bread cubes to the skillet, sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper, and drizzle with olive oil. Toss until evenly coated and arrange in a single layer.
Cook and stir until lightly golden and crisp. Remove from the heat and let it cool completely.
Make Caesar Salad:
Wash and dry the lettuce and pat it dry with paper towels.
Cut or tear the lettuce leaves into bite-size pieces and place onto a salad plate. Drizzle the salad dressing over the top, sprinkle with shaved or shredded parmesan cheese and croutons. Toss lightly until the lettuce is evenly coated.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
