Salmon in Creamy Sauce

Fish is my favorite food ever; especially I adore salmon and trout. This kind of fish is a great source of polyunsaturated fat and protein what is super healthy and beneficial for our bodies.
I’ve slowly adapted this recipe to lower-fat and I think finally I got a good result. This salmon drenched in a creamy garlic-parmesan sauce tastes amazing and it’s actually easy enough to make. I’m ready to eat this Salmon in Creamy Sauce every day without stopping. Seriously, guys!
Salmon in Creamy Sauce Recipe
This Salmon in Creamy Sauce is quick and easy to make recipe. Salmon cooked in a flavorful cream sauce with garlic and parmesan cheese is just so delicious. Ingredients for Salmon in Creamy Sauce
- 5 salmon fillets (770 g / 27 oz / 1.7 lb)
- 2 tbsp. (10 g) olive oil
- 2 tbsp. (15 g) butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 3-4 cloves garlic, diced
- 1 cup water
- 60 g (2 oz) Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup half and half
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- fresh parsley, chopped (I also used dried veggie mix) for garnish

How to Make Salmon in Creamy Sauce
- Season the salmon filets on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Place the salmon fillets and sear in the hot pan for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the butter, onion, and garlic to the same skillet. Cook until the onion has softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Pour in half and half, water and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Reduce heat to low and add the Parmesan cheese. Cook until sauce slightly thickens and until cheese melts through the sauce.
- Bring the salmon back into the pan and cook additional 5 min. after boiling.
- Garnish with the parsley and enjoy!
